Sound Is Home

With JBL signing the chart-topping soulful musician, Khalid, they wanted to show a side of him that the fans don’t often see. To reveal more about Khalid’s intimate relationship with music and sound we created the Sound Is Home campaign. We got to show Khalid’s life as an artist on the road and use sound as his definition of a home.

SOUND IS HOME

Before dropping the long-form film, we kicked off the campaign with a :60 spot that saw Khalid deliver a personal letter to his fans and then surprise them with an impromptu dance party.

SOUND IS HOME ON THE ROAD

We took the ‘Sound Is Home’ story on the road for Kahlid‘s fans with an experiential pop-up at JBL Fest. The pop-up was styled as a road trip rest stop, complete with a gas pump that featured key products and the Free Spirit bus where fans could pop on the headphones and hear Khalid’s letter to his fans while also grabbing a cool GIF to post on their social channels.
